We welcome Monica Diaz as the new FoodWIse Educator covering Richland and Vernon counties.
She grew up in Monterrey, Nuevo León, in northern Mexico, from a family involved in public health and community service. This background inspired her passion for helping others and led her to pursue a career in psychology. She earned her degree in psychology from Universidad Regiomontana in 2016, and later completed a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on organizational development in 2019.
To further expand her expertise, Monica completed a second Master’s degree in Neuropsychology in 2022 at the International University of Valencia, Spain. She is also certified in Autism Diagnosis using ADOS-2 and ADI-R, awarded by the University of Barcelona, Spain.
Throughout her career, Monica has gained a wide range of experience in both the private and public sectors. Her roles have included Human Resources Generalist, People Operations Specialist, and Teacher. She has also contributed to Mexican government programs focused on integral health, specifically in teaching and supporting patients with chronic diseases related to nutrition.
Currently, Monica is a part of the FoodWIse team, serving the Richland and Vernon communities. ‘I am truly happy to be part of their journey towards developing healthy behaviors and helping them make the best choices.’
Monica’s multidisciplinary background allows her to approach challenges from a holistic perspective and make a meaningful impact on individuals and communities, combining psychology, organizational management, and neuropsychology.
