Welcome our new Regional Livestock Educator!

We welcome Beth McIlquham as the new Regional Livestock Educator covering Crawford, La Crosse, Richland, and Vernon counties.

She grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI on a small beef farm where her love for animals began. As she got older, horses, pigs, goats, chickens, and ducks began showing up around the property. The more species that were collected, the deeper she dove into raising happy, healthy, and productive animals.

She graduated from University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in meat animals. While in school, she worked for Extension as educational support for Pierce County’s 4-H program, as well as with the Humane Handling Institute at UWRF.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and going for walks while listening to a podcast. She is excited to begin meeting colleagues, Extension partners, and livestock industry players while digging deeper into her role. Feel free to reach out to her with your livestock-related questions, or even just to say hi!

She can be reached via email at beth.mcilquham@wisc.edu or via cell phone at (608) 632-0599.
